Wallace was knighted and became Guardian of the Realm. William
Wallace was defeated at Falkirk and spent the next several years on the
run, both in Scotland and on the continent, before being captured and
cruelly executed as a traitor to England on August 23, 1305. Sir William
Wallace was the first head to be garishly displayed on the London Bridge.
But before his head made its debut, Wallace was hanged, disembowelled,
beheaded, quartered, and then his head was boiled and preserved in tar.
He was a knight and a Scottish patriot who led a resistance against the
English occupation of Scotland.
One account tells us that he could not resist the challenge of
an English churl who had a reputation for weight lifting. For
fourpence he would let anyone hit him across the back with a
rough pole which he carried. William offered the man 3 times
his usual for the privilege, and subsequently hit the guy with
such force as to break his back. The other soldiers present
tried to overpower Wallace but he brained one with the cudgel
and broke the neck of another, then drew his sword, felled a
third and slashed through the armpit armour of a fourth.
Including the churl. Wallace killed five Englishmen in this
brief but bloody encounter before leaping on a nearby horse
and making his escape back to his hiding place of Leglen Wood.

Sir William Wallace
Jack the Ripper, the most famous serial killer of all time
The name 'Jack the Ripper' has
become the most infamous in the
annals of murder. Yet, the amazing
fact is that his identity remains
unproven today. In the years
1888-1891 the name was regarded
with terror by the residents of
London's East End, and was known
the world over. So shrouded in myth
and mystery.
Over the years the mystery has deepened to the degree
that the truth is almost totally obscured. Innumerable
press stories, pamphlets, books, plays, films, and even
musicals have dramatised and distorted the facts to
such a degree that the fiction is publicly accepted more
than the reality.

Bones recently unearthed in the secret catacombs
found under the London Bridge in London, England.
London is currently in the process of building a new
attraction called the "London Bridge Experience".
While excavating the area, a series of very unusual
events have occurred. Workers tools have gone
missing, several light bulbs have blown out despite the
electric being in perfect order. Many have reported the
feeling of being watched. The recent discovery of
skeletons just added to everyone's fears. Human
remains were found in a sealed vault of hidden tombs
underneath the present London Bridge. It was an old
plague pit and cemetery. The most recent set of bones
were discovered last October under concrete flooring.
BRAVEHEART
Our London bridge was purchased on April 18, 1968 for a bid of $2,460,000 by Robert P.
McCulloch. Plus $1.2 million for dismantling and $10,000 for every year McCulloch had
been alive. The 22 lbs. of granite was shipped from London to Long Beach, Ca and then
trucked to Lake Havasu. It took 3 years to reconstruct the bridge in Havasu. From the
first stone laid Sept. 1968 to its dedication October 1971. The five arches were formed by
using sand mounds as molds. After the stones were in place, the sand molds were removed
and the channel was dredged to create the island. The bridge now measures 953 feet but in
London it was 1,005 feet long which included the on and off ramps.

CHOLERA
THE FIRST CASE OF CHOLERA WAS IN 1832. NINE THOUSAND
PEOPLE DIED IN THE FIRST MONTH OF THIS DEVASTATING
EPIDEMIC. A CHILD HAD A LIFE EXPECTANCY OF 16YEARS.
ITS ESTIMATED THAT FROM JULY TO AUGUST 1832,
THERE WERE 3,000 DEATHS FROM CHOLERA JUST IN LONDON
ALONE. EIGHT HUNDRED OF THOSE WERE FROM THE EAST END OF LONDON AND
TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE FROM POOR WHITE CHAPEL. DOCTORS WERE
NOT ALWAYS TRUSTED IN THEIR TREATMENT FOR THE PLAGUE. WHEN IT
APPEARED THE MEDICINES WERE MAKING PEOPLE SICKER, THE PEOPLE
EXPERIMENTED BY GIVING SOME TO CATS, WHO ALL DIED SHORTLY AFTER. IN
JULY 1832 LONDON WAS IN SUCH A HURRY TO GET RID OF THE CHOLERA
VICTIMS BODIES THAT KNOCKINGS COULD BE HEARD COMING FROM INSIDE
COFFINS DURING ITS FUNERAL PROCESSION.
